Playoff Probabilities Update (11/7/2013)

Down to four. Portland jumps out in front of the Elo ratings with Kansas City hot on their heels. Real Salt Lake is third overall with a Houston retaining a very deceptive 1557 rating and 7th place overall (we all know what they can do in the post-season). Houston sitting so relatively low in the Elo ratings gives Kansas City a probably inflated chance of escaping from their Conference Semifinal confrontation (57.1%).

Kansas City currently has the advantage in the MLS Cup race according to my numbers, but every year I've done this there have been upsets - playoffs are incredibly hard to predict based on past results.
